1. What we collect

Govynex Announce collects the following data when you install the app:

• Your Shopify store domain and access token (required to operate the app)
• Anonymous storefront analytics: page impressions, link clicks, and session identifiers — no personally identifiable information is collected
• Order revenue amounts for revenue attribution (Pro plan only), linked only to anonymous session IDs

2. How we use your data

• To display and manage announcement bars on your storefront
• To provide analytics dashboards showing bar performance
• To process billing via Shopify's Billing API

We do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Data storage

Data is stored on secured servers hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the ap-southeast-2 region. Access tokens are encrypted at rest.

4. Data retention

When you uninstall the app, your shop data is scheduled for deletion within 48 hours. Anonymous analytics events are deleted within 30 days of uninstall.

5. GDPR compliance

We comply with Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks:

• Customer data requests: We store only anonymous session IDs, not customer PII. We respond with an empty dataset.
• Customer redact: Anonymous session data is deleted upon request.
• Shop redact: All shop data is deleted within 48 hours of an uninstall request.

6. Third-party services

• Shopify — storefront and billing platform
• Ollama (Claude API) — used to generate AI copy suggestions (your prompt text is processed to generate suggestions; no store data is included)
• Amazon Web Services — hosting and database
